Ways to bring Light into your life and heart

  1. Meditate - even for 5 minutes

    It is easy to think ‘what’s 5 minutes going to do? or I can’t sit still for 5 minutes’ this is all the more reason you should absolutely do it.

    There are many guided mediations that clear your chakra or have you relaxing on the beach or meadow. Whatever feels right to you is what is best for you - just do it.

  2. Sunshine - close your eyes, turn your face up to the sky and let the sunshine down on you. Visualize the warmth it brings to your body. Picture it melting away any energy or feelings that aren’t serving you. Welcome the bright happy healthy light and healing rays into your body and heart.

    Even in the winter the sunshines - go to the window and feel the warmth.

  3. Clearing negative or bad thoughts.

    When you have a ‘bad thought’ instead of going down that rabbit hole - release the feeling and thought.

    Say to the Universe ‘I return this feeling to Mother Nature so she can renew this energy to positive once again. I choose Light and Love’. Or ‘I surrender these feelings to (whatever entity you believe in God, Ali, Goodness, Universe, Mother Nature) and ask that they renew these feelings to Love’. Always give thanks.

  5. Complete a grounding activity. The elements are fire, water, air, earth. Ever notice how calming it is to stare into a fire, or swim in a lake, or feel a soft breeze on your skin, the smell of nature in a meow, the feeling of a snow flake falling on your face. There is a reason all of these things are known to help people relax, why outdoor activities are so popular. Spend time in nature, be mindful when washing your hands, and walk outside with care - what do you see and hear? Mother Nature is all around us, pause to notice and appreciate.
