Practicing Gratitude
You must grow and develop gratitude, it cannot be bought like some kind of gimmick. Gratitude is personal and different to everyone.
Ways to practice Gratitude:
Make a list of people, things you are grateful for daily and give thanks.
Taking a moment to give thanks creates a positive energy flow within your body and surroundings.
Give generously to others with your time and/or sharing kind words.
Promote a wellness for yourself and others by being kind to all.
When faced with adversity being grateful for what you have and giving it true value.
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
Think of gratitude as a organic process that even ends.
“The true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching’”- John Wooden
Write a list of affirmations.
Different than a list of what your grateful for; affirmations help to attrack what you want, instead of thinking about what you do not have for example: If you want more money and love in your life, instead of thinking that you don’t have either of those things, you can say an affirmation in support of what you want.
“I have an abundance of love and prosperity today, tomorrow and in the future.”
“I welcome and accept all of the love and prosperity the Universe has to offer in my life now.”
What Gratitude is not:
Being grateful someone else’s misfortune is not yours.
This is a form of judgement…. just don’t go there, extend support instead.
Being grateful out of fear.
Example: I am so happy I have my home, I couldn’t imagine not having a home.
Instead try - I wish for others who do not have a home to experience the same comfort and love I experience in my home.
This is a positive thought that sends love into the Universe and to others instead of fear on to yourself.
The ‘IF’ statement.
If I had x I would be so grateful and happy.
Root yourself in the Love and Gratitude for what you have and what is in front of you. Manifest clearly what you want and maintain connection with what you are grateful for rather than recreating a disconnect by focusing on what you do not have currently in your life.
