How To Use This Website
Go to what calls you, explore.
I recommend having a journal close by and when inspired or overwhelmed by a thought or a feeling write it down and let the pen take over… you may be surprised at what comes out.
What I offer
Each section has the following in no particular order:
1. Definition - it is important to understand and remind ourselves of the basics.
2. Quotes or poem that help remind us of the relevance of gratitude, light and love. Quotes that help to bring us back to a place of balance and open our minds. These quotes or poems range from historians to pop culture figures to remind us that no matter our station in life we ALL crave Universal understanding.
3. Techniques and Tools to develop a skill, awareness and/or peace. To develop any skill takes practice.
4. Links to more information, a video, to other people who are exploring the same things we are talking about but perhaps do it better or differently… We celebrate other people’s experience and helpful tips. This website helps to highlight those connections. There is more than one way to do something.
5. Continually evolving. I am forever working on this website. I work full time, I am married and my husband and I are blessed to have two little girls…even if I was able to make this ‘my job’ it would take thousand life times to even crack the surface. I offer my learnings as I experience them. This website is my passion and is organic in that it is always growing.
Tools to help you on your journey of self discovery
Practice
Create a practice that is sustainable. Each section provides tools to help you create your own practice. It can be 5 minutes or 30 minutes everyday, or an hour a week. Do what feels good to you. Revaluate your practice from time to time, add/remove as needed.
Practice gratitude, meditation
Cultivate and give love
Welcome light into your life everyday
Patience
THIS TAKES TIME. There are no quick fixes and one method doesn’t fit all. Trail and error is how you know what works for you.
Believe
“If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don't,
If you like to win, but you think you can't
It is almost certain you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or later the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!”
